We're making important changes to Eat The Pie following an issue with V1 that occurred during Game 6. To address this, the lottery was relaunched on 12/24/2024 to resolve these issues. We understand this situation is disappointing for those involved. We've issued full refunds to any user with a ticket stuck in Game 6 & 7 and deposited the rest of the outstanding jackpot into V2.
What Happened
A technical issue arose during Game 6 of V1, preventing the on-chain verification of the VDF proof required to generate the random lottery numbers. As a result, the lottery entered a 'stuck' state, unable to process or resolve the game.
The Path Forward: Welcome to V2
To ensure a smoother and more reliable experience, we've moved away from the experimental VDF technology and adopted Witnet for our source of randomness, a battle-tested industry standard. V2 offers a more dependable and proven solution for generating random numbers.
